GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE
Effective January 01, 2025
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” that outlines the expected cost of your care before you receive any services.
In accordance with federal law, health care providers must give patients who are uninsured or not using insurance an estimate of the total expected charges for non-emergency services, including:
• Medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees
• Therapy services provided by The Therapeutic Couch
Here’s what you should know:
• You can request a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your appointment.
• If you receive a bill that is $400 or more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the charge.
• Keep a copy or photo of your estimate for your records.
