PRIVATE PAY PRACTICE
Transparent, intentional care without third-party interference.
Why We Choose Private Pay
At The Therapeutic Couch, we don’t bill insurance and that decision is intentional.
We believe your healing journey should be guided by care, not codes. Choosing private pay means your sessions aren’t limited by diagnosis requirements, session caps, or third-party approval. It also protects your privacy and allows us to focus on what matters most: your story, your pace, and your needs.
You’ll receive a clear session rate and a Good Faith Estimate before we begin no surprises, no fine print, and no back-and-forth with insurance providers.
Our work is personal and so is your care.
That’s why we keep it between us.
We believe care should be reachable, not restricted.
At The Therapeutic Couch, LLC, we are committed to providing confidential, high-quality, and personalized mental health care without interference from insurance companies. Many insurance providers require therapists to submit detailed treatment information, including mental health diagnoses and progress updates, in order to approve services. They may also dictate the type, length, and frequency of your care.
To protect your privacy and ensure that your therapy experience is solely based on your needs, we operate as a private pay practice and do not accept insurance. This allows us to:
✔️ Provide therapy that is tailored to you, not dictated by insurance guidelines.
✔️ Keep your mental health records private, without third-party oversight.
✔️ Offer greater flexibility in the length and structure of your sessions.
What Does This Mean for You?
• Payment for sessions is required at the time of service. A credit card must be kept on file for billing purposes.
• If you have out-of-network benefits, you may request a Superbill to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Please check with your provider to determine eligibility.
By choosing private pay, you are ensuring that your mental wellness journey remains in your hands without limitations, restrictions, or unnecessary disclosures.
As part of our commitment to transparency, we offer a Good Faith Estimate
to all clients. Learn what that means here.
